Vintage Reed & Barton “King Francis” 5-Light Convertible Candelabra – Model 1630. Elegant and substantial mid-century silverplate candelabra in the highly sought after King Francis pattern by Reed & Barton. This is the larger five-light, four-arm convertible form, with removable top section so the base may also be used as a single candlestick. Beautifully detailed with the classic King Francis Renaissance fruit, scroll, and shell ornamentation throughout. The underside is impressed. REED & BARTON 1630. A wonderful formal dining or centerpiece piece – these were originally marketed as wedding/entertaining silver and display beautifully on a table or mantle. Measurements. Height: 15.75 inches. Width (arm spread): approx. Condition: Very good vintage condition with normal age-appropriate surface wear consistent with use. Light tarnish present; may polish to a brighter finish if desired. Harder to find in the 5-light configuration – most examples encountered are the smaller 3-light form. A classic, statement Reed & Barton piece for collectors or formal entertaining.
