Vintage Reed & Barton King Francis oval silver plated mirrored plateau vanity tray is a stylish and elegant piece with a raised floral pattern. This piece was made in the early 1900s. The design is a Rococo style, with cast flowers, scrolls, and acanthus decorated feet. Painted wooden base underneath. Marked “Reed & Barton 188″ on the underside of one of the feet. This is a heavy piece, weighing 5 lbs 6.5 oz. 14″ x 10 1/4″ x 2 1/4 tall. CONDITION – Mirror has light surface scratches. Small area on the top edge where silverplate has rubbed off. Elegant and substantial mid-century silverplate candelabra in the highly sought after King Francis pattern by Reed & Barton. This is the larger five-light, four-arm convertible form, with removable top section so the base may also be used as a single candlestick. Beautifully detailed with the classic King Francis Renaissance fruit, scroll, and shell ornamentation throughout. The underside is impressed. REED & BARTON 1630. A wonderful formal dining or centerpiece piece – these were originally marketed as wedding/entertaining silver and display beautifully on a table or mantle. Measurements. Height: 15.75 inches.
