Vintage Reed & Barton King Francis oval silver plated mirrored plateau vanity tray is a stylish and elegant piece with a raised floral pattern. This piece was made in the early 1900s. The design is a Rococo style, with cast flowers, scrolls, and acanthus decorated feet. Painted wooden base underneath. Marked “Reed & Barton 188″ on the underside of one of the feet. This is a heavy piece, weighing 5 lbs 6.5 oz. 14″ x 10 1/4″ x 2 1/4 tall. CONDITION – Mirror has light surface scratches. Small area on the top edge where silverplate has rubbed off. This is a beautiful Francis I by Reed & Barton Sterling silver oval bon bon or candy dish. Bottom says Reed & Barton. This is NOT footed. It sits flat on the bottom of the bowl the owner stuck little felt pads on the botton. It measures 7″ long and 6.5″ wide. The weight is 6.8 troy ounces of sterling silver. It is in excellent condition with no damage or monograms. I didn’t polish this at all.
