Here’s a great REED & BARTON FRANCIS I hollowware bowl. It is 8″ in diameter and 1-7/8″ at tallest. Though this pattern was introduced in 1907 it is so popular that it continues to be produced today. This piece has a REED & BARTON 1953 date on the reverse along with the maker, pattern name and item number X569. Pattern embossing is amazingly prolific, deep and ornate as with most FRANCIS I pieces. There are no dents or flaws of any kind (though it could still stand quite a bit more polish). The weight, just for interest, is 9.78 ozt.
