Reed & Barton Sterling Francis 1 Gravy Boat
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS A STERLING GRAVY BOAT AND STAND PRODUCED IN 1929. I T HAS THE THREE SYMBOLS MARK FOR REED & BARTON AND THE CODE SYMBOL FOR 1929 (87 YEARS OLD). THERE IS NO MONOGRAM, AND NO MONOGRAM REMOVAL. THE INCREDIBLE DEPTH OF THE PATTERN’S DESIGN. SOMETIMES THIS GRAVY BOAT IS DESCRIBED WITH A 1907 DATE LISTED. THAT IS THE DATE FRANCIS I WAS INTRODUCED AND NOT THE PRODUCTION DATE OF THE GRAVY BOAT. ALSO THE NAME REED & BARTON WAS NOT ON EARLY PIECES – ONLY THE THREE SYMBOLS MARK. THERE IS ONLY ONE SIZE MADE – 8 1/4″ LONG AND 5″ TALL. THE STAND IS 10″ LAND AND 5 5/8″ WIDE. IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION POLISHED AND READY FOR YOUR DINING TABLE.
