This serving dish is done in the popular Francis I pattern, which began production in 1907, though this particular piece is dated 1949. This pattern features sumptuous designs of fruit and foliage in rich, detailed high relief around the rim. There is a cartouche at either end of the dish, one of which has a monogram of H in Gothic lettering. This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The dish is stamped on the underside with the Reed & Barton maker’s mark, sterling, the number X570A, Francis I, and the yearmark of Saturn for 1949.
