This listing is for a sterling silver bowl/dish by Reed and Barton in the Francis I, pattern created between 1906-07 and retired in 2019. The Renaissance inspired pattern was originally created by French silversmith Ernest Meyer and named for Francis of Angouleme who became king of France during the lavish French Renaissance time of the 16th century. It features repoussé fruits, leaves and scrolls. The sterling compote dish is 1-7/8 high, 8 in diameter has four feet. It is stamped under with the Hallmark, Reed&Barton, sterling, X569F, Francis I and the original sticker with Reed&Barton, sterling. Total weight: 341 grams. There is no monogram! Some light wear due to age and use but overall in very nice condition! A splendid piece of artisanship and a solid investment! Please, carefully view the photos as they are part of the description.
