Do not mistake this for the common, significantly less expensive hollow-handle versions that feature stainless steel blades. This estate piece is solid sterling silver from tip to handle, weighing a hefty 134 grams of pure precious metal. Key Features & Condition. Historical Markings: Stamped on the reverse of the stem with the original early production mark: PAT. Monogram: Features an elegant, period-correct Gothic/Old English monogram letter “E” finely engraved on the back of the handle. Visual Details: Beautiful pierced scrollwork on the blade with crisp, high-relief fruit clusters decorating the handle. Condition: Excellent antique condition. It features a stunning, deep natural tarnish/patina in the recessed areas that beautifully accentuates the baroque design. No bends, deep scratches, or repairs.
