This is Reed & Barton Francis I Sterling Silver Gravy Boat with sterling tray. Per the photos posted here, there are no scratches, no dents, no dings. Item looks the same as in retail store. The Gravy Boat and matching Tray have been stored in the blue silver cloth bags, with 3M silver strip paper to absorb any impurities, inside vault with temperature and humidity controls. Smoke free home, with air conditioning helped. This set makes a stunning appearance on the dinner table, especially when it accompanies other Francis I flatware and possibly a few hollowware pieces. There are no bad surprises with this item; it’s really beautiful and a great representation of the Hand Chased Francis I collection by Reed & Barton. Collectibility will increase as Reed & Barton declared bankruptcy in 2015 and was acquired by The Lennox Company. Also note that that 570A Sterling Hand Chased is engraved on the bottom of these two pieces. OK, that’s the full story. Set is now stored again in the vault waiting for the new owner; maybe that is You! I have other photos of the set if you’d need to see more; just advise please.
