Reed & Barton Sterling Silver Repousse Compote Francis I Pattern Circa 1951. Of round octagonal shape, American Mid-century Francis I sterling silver serving compote by Reed & Barton, Decorated with raised fruit & floral motif with scrolling border. The compote terminates upon expanding round base continuous large leaves foliage design. Overall very good condition, a few deeper scratch marks, previous owner cleaned black oxidation with fine steel wool (which was not proper), only machine buffing will help to make like original, tiny side dent, visible steel wool lining, a few tiny border markings. Marked: 1951, reed & barton, Sterling, model X568, Francis I. Height 4 1/2 in. Total Silver Weight 417.1 grams.
